"A man may imagine things that are false, but he can only understand things that are true, for if the things be false, the apprehension of them is not understanding."-Isaac Newton

The term "Enlightenment" is used in an intellectual sense which is described as the being of use rationality to establish an authorative ethic. All throughout history, science and technology was the primitive branches of growth and of increasing man’s potential of taking his fate in his own hands. Philosophers, Astronomers and Scientists all shared part of the progress of growth. Philosopher, Charles Darwin  believed in natural selection of life and that man evolved from apes. Ben Franklin contributed by inventing electricity with a simple expierment involving a kite. Isaac Newton had an apple fall on his head leading him to the theory of Gravity. Maria Mitchell proved that the comet was not something bad or horrible, when she discoverd the comet. She was the first american female astronmer. These people, and so many others contributed their acievements during the Age of Enlightenment. Without them, who knows where would we be now?
